Henkel Polybit Industries, a market leader in the field of waterproofing and construction chemical products in the GCC, says it has received a good response to its newly launched line of tiling products under the regional Polybit brand in the UAE.

This line covers a spectrum of products, ranging from adhesives and primers to grouts and sealants and delivers sustainable value for consumers, professionals and industries, says Valentina Podocea, brand manager for Henkel Polybit’s UAE office.

Among the newly launched products are tile adhesives including CM 9 that offers easy workability, high performance and maximum durability; CM 11 with a non-slip formula, suitable for indoor and outdoor, and recommended for wall applications; and CM 16 that offers unmatched performance, is perfect for wet areas and swimming pools, and is based on a slip control formula.

Among the cement-based joint fillers in the range is the CE 33, which has high crack resistance, is fibre reinforced, and is suitable for wet areas. It offers fine grouting and is easy to wash with no sagging.

Podocea attributes the outstanding quality of the tiling products to the company’s in-house technologies and tailor-made solutions.

“Focused on catering to the specific needs of the region, Henkel continues to introduce regionally relevant products that are tailored to suit the preferences and requirements of the local consumers and at the same time, follow the high standard of German technology,” she adds.

Germany-headquartered Henkel is renowned worldwide for leading innovative brands and technologies in beauty care, laundry and homecare, and adhesives technologies.

The Adhesive Technologies unit forms an integral part of its portfolio, providing tailor-made solutions in adhesives, sealants and functional coatings for consumers, craftsmen, building applications and the industrial sector. The unit has a strong, well-balanced portfolio of international, regional and local brands, offering a multitude of applications to satisfy the needs of different target groups and different markets.

She says Henkel is the only company in the industry to produce its own polymers for tiling adhesives. “Due to the continuous improvement and fine-tuning of these polymers over the years, the company is now able to offer better, faster and safer products.”

Workability, open time, slip resistance and durability are few of the attributes that craftsmen all over Europe are associating with Henkel tiling solutions. It comes as no surprise that nine out of 10 craftsmen in Europe recommend Henkel tiling products, which only reinforces the fact that Henkel products are efficient, strong and reliable, Podocea remarks.

Founded in 1876 as a small laundry detergent business in 1876 by Fritz Henkel, Henkel is now a strong international corporation which celebrated its 140th anniversary last year.

The company holds globally leading market positions, both in the consumer and industrial sectors, with brands such as Persil, Schwarzkopf, Loctite and Ceresit. Henkel’s outstanding experience and expertise in cementitious products has earned it the reputation of offering one of the most consistent and efficient brands.

With employees from more than 120 nations and locations around the world, Henkel has a strong presence both in mature and emerging markets.
