Emirates Motor Company (EMC) Daimler Commercial Vehicles said it has completed a major delivery of 50 Mercedes-Benz Actros heavy-duty trucks to Abu Dhabi-based Transgulf Readymix company.

EMC is the authorised Mercedes-Benz distributor in Abu Dhabi and flagship company of Al Fahim Group.

At the handover, EMC officials said this was one of the largest deals of its kind in the UAE.

All the trucks are equipped with Leibherr 12 cu m mixers which will help Transgulf, one of the region’s largest readymix firms, meet its growing list of contracts.

Bilal Al Ribi, the general manager of Emirates Motor Company Daimler Commercial Vehicles, said: “We are delighted to be handing over a fleet of heavy-duty vehicles in partnership with Liebherr. We have been working closely with the team at Transgulf Readymix for many months as we have looked to identify their needs and create a package of vehicles and equipment that best meets those needs.”

“These 50 Actros 4440 8x4 vehicles will help them take their business to a whole new level and we wish them every success as they continue to grow,” he stated.

EMC serves a premium client segment in the region, including dignitaries, the UAE government, oil companies and the business community. 

Since becoming the authorised general distributor for Mercedes-Benz in Abu Dhabi in 1962, EMC has continued to grow and now houses the world’s largest Mercedes-Benz facility, Al Ribi added.
