The fourth Plastivision Arabia 2017, to be held at Expo Centre Sharjah next month (December 11 to 14) will put the spotlight on the latest machinery and equipment to meet the increasing demands for precision and flexibility in the plastics industry.

“Given the rising plastics consumption in the GCC and the rapidly expanding downstream industry, it is imperative that the region’s plastic processors and convertors upgrade and expand to stay ahead in the business,” said a spokesman for the event.

Plastivision Arabia is an exclusive event to source a diverse range of primary processing machinery, auxiliary equipment and raw materials from global manufacturers and dealers. The event offer visitors a comprehensive sourcing and networking platform, in addition to a high-profile knowledge-sharing opportunity.

 The organiser said some big names in manufacturing and distribution have confirmed their presence at the exhibition, including leading manufacturers and dealers from Taiwan.

Plastivision Arabia has seen a double-digit growth in the number of live machines on display. Also, the event this year will have dedicated areas for flexible and rigid packaging, plastic raw materials and chemicals, in addition to hosting special focus areas featuring finished plastics goods.

The special focus area on mouldmaking and tooling will feature machinery and equipment, including injection, stamping, casting and pressure die-casting moulds, hotrunner technology, gauge tools and software for mouldmaking and tooling.

For the first time, Germany’s Arburg will be ‘seminar supporter’. Other prominent names presenting seminars include Starlinger.
