Saudi-based Al Kifah Readymix & Blocks has launched eco-friendly ‘green concrete’ in the Saudi market for the first time, thus setting a new benchmark in the construction market in general and the readymix industry in particular.

The live batch plant trial was held at the company’s main factory at Al Ahsa, a traditional oasis region in eastern Saudi Arabia, in the presence of senior officials of Al Kifah Readymix & Blocks besides its partners and consultants.

The new product, which has been made using natural pozzolan material manaseer crete, boasts several key features including durability, sustainability and environmental friendliness.

In addition, the green concrete will help cut all manufactured mineral material to the minimum thus resulting in a reduced carbon footprint and less trucks on the road, it added.
