The work on a large new community centre at Jumeirah Golf Estates in Dubai is likely to start early next year and is due for completion by the second quarter of 2018, said a report.

The facility, to come up in the heart of the new Al Andalus district, will feature retail, food and beverage outlets and a hotel, reported The National.

Chief executive Yousuf Kazim indicated that the contract for enabling and infrastructure was expected to be awarded by the end of last month (September).

According to him, the work on the project would run alongside the construction of the first two of eight planned apartment buildings in the Al Andalus district, which are set to be delivered at the same time.
