PI Makina, a leading construction machinery manufacturer, is looking at strengthening its presence in the Gulf market where it has been supplying concrete batching plant and concrete pumps over the past 15 years.

Three years ago, the Turkish firm further boosted the range of products it offers to the region to include tower cranes, and heavy-duty construction machines such as backhoe loaders, loaders and excavators. With its participation at The Big 5 show next month (November), the company intends to showcase its comprehensive product portfolio and further penetrate a market that it has been serving since 2000.

PI Makina says it provides efficient sales and marketing as well as after-sales support in various parts of Saudi Arabia including Jeddah, Dammam and Riyadh.

“We are a preferred manufacturer in the Saudi Arabian market as we not only supply concrete plant and pumps but also support clients in the market with good after-sales services,” says a spokesman for the company.

PI Makina has a strong dealer network in the UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain and Oman, as it realises the importance of facilitating a 24-hour service while ensuring constant availability of spare parts in the market. In Kuwait and Saudi Arabia, the company has worked with Gulf Group, while in Oman its dealer is Arabian Engineering Services, which is part of the Saud Bahwan Group.

As one of the biggest producers of concrete batching plants, concrete pumps, crushing plants and tower cranes, PI Makina has been active in the construction equipment sector for the last 50 years.

The company says it has not only been manufacturing and offering heavy construction machinery as well as industrial facilities for Turkey but also offering quality services to overseas construction companies with
its exports.

“PI Makina has been successfully serving large-scale public contracting, mining and investment enterprises as well as the Turkish armed forces with its machines,” the spokesman says.

The company manufactures various stationary and mobile machines needed by construction companies to the same quality and using the same raw materials, hydraulic and electrical products as its European counterparts, he adds.

Over the years, the firm has continued to widen its portfolio of products to include a comprehensive range of machines such as crushing, screening, washing plant, stationary and mobile asphalt plants, concrete batching plant, concrete pumps, transmixers, loaders, excavators and graders.

“These products and their design and know-how belong to PI Makina, which can deliver turnkey services including dam operating equipment, coal loading facilities, overhead travelling cranes, vibrating rollers, tower cranes, concrete-laying machines and bespoke manufacture to special designs and orders,” the spokesman concludes.
