Dubai-based Trade Engineering, a ceilings and partitions company, was set up in 1989, with the support and inspiration of Suleiman Abdul Wahab, chairman of the Mosaco Group, says Ashok Vasandani, director of the company.

"Since inception we have supplied and installed a variety of false ceilings for a number of prestigious projects. Some of the recent projects include the Tower, under a subcontract from Binladin, and Tower No 1 (Khatib and Alami).

"We have also installed demountable partitions imported from Socab of France,'' he says.

'Socab specialises in creating demountable partitions according to the consultant's requirements, apart from its standard line of demountable partition systems, which offers a variety of aesthetic features.

He continues: "We are among the leading distributors for Socab demountable partition systems in the Middle East market and are confident that these systems can meet the engineering and architectural requirements of consultants and clients.''

Commenting on the market, Vasandani says: "Dubai has been experiencing rapid growth over the past few years and I see good potential for the company.

''Qatar also offers good potential for the future and we are keen to contribute to the prestigious projects coming up there."

The company also represents Open Cel Ceilings from International Ceilings Holland.

Trade Engineering has successfully completed a number of prestigious jobs in the UAE including shopping centres such as Al Hana Centre and the mall for Holiday Inn Crowne Plaza.
