Al Shirawi FM officials receive the certificate.

Al Shirawi FM, a leading single-source provider of integrated facilities management in the UAE for mixed-use, commercial, residential, hospitality, industrial, education and retail projects, has been accredited by the Dubai government’s Regulatory and Supervisory Bureau (RSB) for Electricity and Water as an energy services company (Esco).

The provisional accreditation is an assurance that Al Shirawi FM has appropriately qualified personnel in the organisation, robust financial status and is qualified to deliver energy saving projects for both public and private sector clients in Dubai.

The Esco accreditation is the latest for Al Shirawi FM, which already has a host of other international certifications from reputed agencies including BISCs, CSP Standard, ISSA, US Green Building Council and BSI for ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001.

The RSB chairman Ali Al Owais presented the Esco certificate to Al Shirawi FM chief executive officer Navin Valrani and the general manager Evie Boustantzi at an accreditation ceremony held earlier this year.

"At Al Shirawi, we are passionate about the UAE’s vision to become a smart and sustainable place and its economic potential for prosperity. The nation is an inspiration not only at the regional level but across the globe. The Esco accreditation was a natural step for us to take as it is the path to tread for industry players who are committed to the vision," stated Valrani.

With this, Al Shirawi FM has become one among a handful of facilities management companies to be an Esco. Apart from IFM, it also provides Energy Management and Retrofit services and has over 350 live projects, he added.

Boustantzi pointed out that as an Esco, the company brings together a wealth of experience through its long and diverse experience in construction and maintenance, by capitalising on in-house synergies and knowledge.

"This gives our clients added confidence and encourage them to make energy management a key focus of their facilities operations with Al Shirawi FM as their long term partner," he added.-TradeArabia News Service
