UAE-based Grayscale Interiors said it has completed the design and procurement for 21 apartments of Dubai Properties at Jumeirah Beach Residence (JBR) - ranging from studio to four-bedroom - to converting them into holiday homes.

Its scope of works covered furniture, fixtures and equipment (FF&E) and operating supplies and equipment (OS&E).

A specialist in providing interior commercial fit-outs, refurbishments, and retrofits, Grayscale Interiors said Dubai Properties awarded the project at a contract value of Dh2.5 million ($280,500) with a time commitment stipulation for completed works.

The site was handed over to Grayscale in a standard built state: namely, walls, floors and ceiling including built-in joinery for wardrobe and kitchen. The full site is approximately 28,100 sq ft, spanning 21 apartments in a bold variety of colour schemes, styles, and layouts.

"Grayscale had four team members onsite with our work mostly involving co-ordination and lead time management for deliveries due to most items originating from various quality vendors and subcontractors," stated Dr Gary Vastag, the founder and managing director at Grayscale Interiors.

"I personally handled the client relationship management to ensure project parameters were satisfactorily met," he added.

Vastag said the company was instructed by the client to deliver a ‘home away from home’ end-user experience pertaining to design and furnishings.

"This led to substantial sourcing, as each style of apartment required a distinctive personality and living experience. Various items, such as electronics and bedding, were sourced from the same suppliers," he added.-TradeArabia News Service
