As many as 2,708 users have benefited from the Internal Tenders eService since its launch by Bahrain’s Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning, an official has revealed.

This indicates a rise in awareness of the importance of the electronic services provided by the Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning to improve services and save time and effort.

Assistant undersecretary for technical services at the Ministry Ebrahim Al Hawaj explained that the internal tenders at the ministry target those whose estimated cost varies between BD3,000 ($7,953) and BD25,000 ($66,278).

The number of internal tenders during the first half of 2017 was 228, worth a total of BD2,117,132  (5,612,763).

The Internal Tenders eService allows companies to search and view internal tenders and get the documents for any new tender or buy copies of them. The service also allows them to receive a copy of the documents obtained previously by filling a form on the ministry’s portal www.works.gov.bh or the eGovernment portal Bahrain.bh.

Through the new service, companies are able to electronically follow-up the new tenders on a daily basis, offer bids for the new tenders or learn further details about them.  – TradeArabia News Service
