Oman’s annual trade fair showcasing the ideal home environment will open this week at Madinat Al Irfan with an added focus on building construction and property development, said the event organisers.

The three-day event, suitably rebranded as the Home & Building Show 2017, will be inaugurated by Dr Rasheed bin Al Safi Al Huraibi, the chairman of the Tender Board on October 23.

Also in attendance will be dignitaries from the Ministry of Housing, the official patron of the event, as well as officials and executives representing a number of public, corporate and private sector organisations that have a stake in the growth and success of a vibrant economic sector centring on the home and building industry in Oman, said the organisers.

Product categories set to be showcased during the event at Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre incude bedroom sets, carpet and rugs, ceramics and stones and steel products besides equipment for facilities management, heating, ventilation and air-conditioning (HVAC), home appliances, interior design and lighting and electronic equipment, they stated.

Also materials linked to MEP (mechanical, electrical and plumbing), Outdoor and Gardens, Paints, Hardware and Tools, Roofing and Flooring, Smart Home Solutions, Waste Management and Recycling will be on display.

For the first time in the Home & Building Show's seven-year history, a Kitchen & Bath Expo (KBEX) will be co-located with the event. Set in a dedicated hall, the maiden expo will bring together industry experts and professionals, said the event organisers.

According to them, the maiden expo will shed light on cutting-edge developments in bath design, trends, innovations and solutions.

Also on display will be a wide variety of bathroom accessories, sanitary ware, bathroom hardware, equipment and services, sauna systems, kitchen designs and products, accessories, appliances, equipment, services, hardware and commercial kitchens, they added.-TradeArabia News Service
