At this year’s Big 5, visitors will see a new co-located event that revolves around an expanding sector – heating, ventilation, air-conditioning and refrigeration (HVACR).

The inaugural HVAC R Expo was founded after over 5,000 visitors showed interest in HVAC R solutions at The Big 5 last year, highlighting the huge potential offered by this promising sector.

Commenting on the new event, Josine Heijmans, portfolio director for The Big 5, says: “The HVAC R market in the UAE is expecting to reach a value of $1.5 billion by 2019. And with almost 4,000 projects in Dubai alone pushing demand for indoor climate solutions, we are glad to offer a dedicated showcase where our visitors can source products to ensure the best air quality for their buildings.”

Local and international exhibitors at the dedicated expo will showcase solutions ranging from air-conditioning and ventilation systems, heating and refrigerating systems, to ducting systems and measuring technology.

The new showcase will cater to mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) engineers to consultants, contractors and more.

Looking forward to participating at the expo, Abdulrahman A Khansaheb, managing director of Khansaheb Industries, says: “We are excited to be participating within the HVAC R Expo in Dubai this year. Khansaheb Industries is concerned with sustainability through innovation and the HVAC R Expo in Dubai is the ideal forum for spreading this message to the market – and we look forward to playing an active role therein.”
