Nakheel said work on The Pointe, its Dh800-million ($217 million) waterfront dining and entertainment destination coming up on Palm Jumeirah, is nearing completion.

Managed by Nakheel Malls, the retail arm of the top Emirati developer, The Pointe features unique concepts from around the globe with over 100 dining and retail outlets on offer. The 1.4-million-sq-ft project will open towards the end of this year, said the company.

Its centrepiece will be a spectacular fountain with stunning shows that can be viewed from The Pointe’s wide range of waterfront dining spots.

It is also home to a 1.5-km promenade – a destination in itself for residents and tourists to unwind at one of Dubai’s most iconic locations.

In addition, it features a cinema, children’s play area, supermarket, gyms, and beauty salons as well as a car-park for 1,600 vehicles, it added.
