Avanti Systems, considered to be the UK’s largest independent producer of office partitioning systems, has recently set up a new division to manage overseas projects in line with its new worldwide sales strategy.

The division, headed by Ken Cordaroy as international sales director, is based at Avanti’s head office in Sussex.
The Middle East and East Africa – areas where Avanti has already enjoyed considerable export success – will be key areas for increasing overseas turnover, says a spokesman for the company.
As part of its commitment to provide quality service to both its UK and international customers, the company has recently appointed a Middle East manager, based in Dubai, to direct operations in the region and is also setting up stockists within the Gulf countries to enable speedy customer deliveries as the business grows.
From Avanti’s international headquarters in the UK, Cordaroy will focus on building export business in other markets.
He states: “In addition to the Middle East and the US, we are already exporting to other countries such as Albania, Cyprus, Nigeria, Hong Kong and France and intend to increase our market share in all these areas. The new organisation provides us the infrastructure to achieve this and we are forecasting a rise of 15 per cent in revenues for 2004 from increased global business.
Set up six months ago, Avanti’s US operations, based in New York, is in the process of appointing distributors across the country to handle the expected volume of business. The company has received enthusiastic comments from across the Atlantic and was very well received when it exhibited at the Building Services exhibition held at the  Jacob Javits Centre in New York, last May, says the spokesman.
