K-based F Ball and Company, a manufacturer of flooring adhesives and floor preparation products for the contract flooring industry, has launched two new specialist adhesives which are a result of its continued focus on product development.

The products – Styccobond F58 rubber floor-covering adhesive and Styccobond S930 sprayable pressure-sensitive adhesive – have been developed to the high standards of product quality that F Ball has become renowned for, says a spokesman for the company.
Styccobond F58 is an acrylic emulsion adhesive that satisfies modern installation requirements of new-generation rubber floor coverings, which are becoming increasingly popular and more widely used. The product has been specially formulated in conjunction with Freudenberg Building Systems UK, to ensure 100 per cent compatibility with its Noraplan range of rubber floor coverings. Offering high bond strength, strong initial tack and protection against bio-degradation, F58 is available in five-litre as well as 15-litre units for larger jobs.
Styccobond S930 sprayable pressure sensitive adhesive extends the use of the increasingly popular IQ spray system even further and forms an important addition to the IQ range. This vinyl adhesive has a solvent-free, acrylic polymer formulation that dries to a permanently tacky film and offers an excellent coverage rate of up to 10 sq m per litre, achieving more than twice the coverage of traditional trowelling methods, says the spokesman.
These characteristics together with the IQ System’s rapid application levels of 100 sq m for every 10 minutes of spraying, enables contractors to install floor coverings faster, easier and more cost-effectively than ever before, he adds.
