Hansgrohe deepens GCC footprint, meets demand for design-led solutions

AXOR’s three new “Extraordinary Bathroom Concepts” are inspired by journeys through Japan, South Africa and Italy.

Hansgrohe Group, a global leader in premium bathroom and kitchen solutions, is accelerating its regional expansion in the Middle East, capitalising on the flourishing luxury real estate and hospitality sectors across the GCC.

The company recently solidified its presence in the UAE by inaugurating a new brand space at the ABC Ceramics showroom in Sharjah, in partnership with Integrated Trading & Co (ITC), its long-standing distribution partner in Dubai and the Northern Emirates. The new showroom showcases Hansgrohe’s latest solutions, including the Rainfinity, Raindance Select E, and Metropol ranges, complemented by accessories from the AddStoris collection. The space demonstrates how hansgrohe combines design, performance, and functionality to deliver an exceptional water experience.

Martial Gil, Chief Financial Officer, Hansgrohe Group, highlights the strategic importance of the region, stating the Sharjah opening “reflects hansgrohe’s strategic commitment to expanding our footprint across the UAE”.

FOCUS ON DESIGN AND SUSTAINABILITY WITH NEW PRODUCTS

Hansgrohe has also rolled out several major product launches under its AXOR and hansgrohe brands, aimed at the luxury and residential construction markets, with a strong focus on design, safety, and water efficiency.

Under its luxury design brand, AXOR, the group collaborated with architect Antonio Citterio to present three new “Extraordinary Bathroom Concepts” as part of its ‘Escape the Ordinary’ campaign. These concepts, inspired by journeys through Japan, South Africa and Italy, showcase personalised and luxurious water experiences.

Key products featured in the concepts include:

• The new AXOR Citterio C collection, which serves as the basis for the design concepts.

• The AXOR ShowerSphere shower collection, which offers an extensive variety of luxurious shower products.

• The use of exclusive AXOR FinishPlus surfaces, such as Brushed Bronze, to complement different aesthetic themes.

Each design combines understated luxury with deeply personal water experiences, showcasing the versatility of the AXOR Citterio C collection and the innovative AXOR ShowerSphere shower programme.

Japanese City Loft: Set in a minimalist Japanese residence, this concept blends traditional wood flooring and marble with contemporary elements like concrete and black mosaics to evoke tranquility and meditative calm. Floor-to-ceiling windows link the bathing space to a serene garden, while multiple tailored showering experiences are delivered via AXOR Citterio C fittings in brushed nickel.

Western Cape Apartment Residence: Inspired by South Africa’s raw beauty, this bathroom uses locally-sourced red clay, reclaimed terrazzo, and mosaic tiles to reference Cape Town’s landscape and culture of resourcefulness. The centrepiece is the AXOR ShowerSphere overhead shower, notable for its water efficiency and luxurious spray, complemented by fixtures in brushed black chrome for a dramatic yet sustainable finish.

Mediterranean Hotel in Rome: The Rome concept merges leisurely grandeur with modern design, combining Rosso Levanto marble, travertine, and panoramic views over the city. The shower area features AXOR ShowerSphere, a shower bar, and a hand-held shower in brushed bronze finishes, delivering multisensory experiences that reflect the elegance and heritage of the Eternal City.

Antonio Citterio designed each bathroom as a journey – physical and sensory – drawing on local materials and water rituals to create immersive, highly individualised sanctuaries. Through flexible product lines and innovative shower solutions, AXOR aims to transform bathrooms from functional spaces into experiential retreats, enabling users to “escape the ordinary” and fully personalise their water experiences.

HANSGROHE XUNIVA EVO WASHBASINS

Meanwhile, the premium hansgrohe brand is launching the Xuniva Evo washbasins, which are designed to create the illusion of an “infinity pool” at the washbasin. This aesthetic is achieved through a precisely crafted, concealed drain and a slight incline in the inner basin.

The new sanitary ceramics are available in multiple surface colours – including classic white with gloss, matt black, matt slate grey, matt white, and matt sand beige – allowing for perfect customisation and combination with hansgrohe’s FinishPlus faucet range.

The collection supports easy cleaning with SmartClean (dirt-repellent) and HygieneEffect (glaze that reduces bacterial growth) glazes and boasts a durable, handcrafted sanitary ceramic with a 20-year guarantee. Xuniva Evo is offered in four countertop shapes – two square, round, and RaceTrack – and is designed for effortless integration with the brand’s FinishPlus faucet ranges.
