EMIRATES Pearl for Development and Investment (EPDI), which is developing a 47-storey hotel in central Abu Dhabi, has signed an agreement with a Hyatt Hotels Corporation affiliate for the management of the property.

The Grand Hyatt Abu Dhabi Hotel and Residences Emirates Pearl, which is expected to open next year, will be housed in a contemporary ‘twisting’ glass tower on the southwest end of the Coastal Boulevard in the Ras Al Akhdar district. It will be in proximity to shopping malls and tourist spots and will be a 30-minute drive from Abu Dhabi International Airport.

It offers 368 rooms and 60 fully furnished service apartments with four restaurants, a lounge, two bars, extensive meeting facilities and a sophisticated spa and fitness centre.

The hotel is being designed by Dennis Lems Architects Associates, with interiors by MKV Design of London.

It will be the third Hyatt-branded property in the city of Abu Dhabi and will join Grand Hyatt Dubai as the second Grand Hyatt hotel in the UAE.
