SAROOJ Construction Company, a Grade A ‘excellent’ Oman-based company, has entered into a joint venture with three other multinational companies to prepare for the forthcoming tender for segment one of the prestigious Oman railway project.

The four companies will participate together for the bid as the SPYD consortium. These companies include the Austrian company Porr, a globally recognised authority in the construction of railway and infrastructure projects; Daewoo Engineering and Construction, a reputed Korean company operating in the region, which has built the dry docks in Duqm and the 2,000 MW power station in Sur;  Yüksel, a Turkish company with a strong presence in the Middle East, which has been awarded multi-million-dollar projects by the Tender Board; and Sarooj Construction Company.
