Chicago Pneumatic generators ... powering work on the residential complex.

A total of 14 robust stationary generators from the US-based Chicago Pneumatic (CP) are providing the essential power required for the construction of a luxury residential development beside the Dubai Water Canal in Dubai, UAE.

The order was secured by the company’s authorised distributor German-Gulf Enterprises, with the generators forming a crucial part of a project that will see 6,000 new homes built by 2021.

The order includes six CPSG300, five CPSG200, one CPSG105 and two CPSG60 machines.

Elaborating on the company’s success on the order, German-Gulf Enterprises’s divisional manager Sushil Kumar says: “We put forward CPSG generators, in response to the tender from the project contractor, as they provide excellent durability and are built to withstand tough worksite conditions while operating at high working temperatures. These features were deemed essential by the contractor as the project needed a power supply capable of performing continuously over a long period of time.”

“Our proposal highlighted other compelling features of the CPSG, such as its corrosion-resistant canopy and rugged base that offers extra impact protection for sensitive areas of the unit,” Ziaur Rahman, assistant sales manager at German-Gulf Enterprises adds. “In addition, we were able to share technical data from recent CPSG installations in Saudi Arabia which combined to persuade our customer that the generators were the right fit for the project.”

The UAE’s first nuclear power plant ... well in progress.

Chicago Pneumatic generators ... corrosion resistant and rugged.

CPSG stationary generators provide excellent accessibility and serviceability via large removable 45-degree doors. They are also installation-friendly, thanks to dual-position (top and front) air outlets, and eco-friendly, as a result of a spillage-free frame design that provides for easy, clean drainage of all liquids.

Additional features of the CPSG units include different levels of noise isolation, a lockable fuel filling cap, a robust terminal board that is suitable for connection with or without clamps, and easy fuel tank cleaning access to prevent damage from contaminants.

As part of the order, Chicago Pneumatic installed its advanced BSE7320 control panel on all of the generators, which enables users to operate the machines remotely. To facilitate faster positioning of the generators, both on and off-site, the contractor also requested that all the larger CPSG300 machines were equipped with an optional lifting beam.

Edmerlito Gonzales, regional business line manager for Chicago Pneumatic Construction Equipment in the Middle East, says: “We congratulate German-Gulf on securing this significant order, which further increases recognition of our brand in the UAE. Our generator range offers premium power at a competitive price and we’re pleased that they are being used in a leading construction development.”
