Axor, a designer brand of the German sanitary fittings leader Hansgrohe Group, has been selected to bring elegant bathroom design to The Alef Residences serviced by W Dubai – The Palm on the Palm Jumeirah in Dubai, UAE.

For beachfront properties in the searing hot Middle East, bathrooms are often the heart of the home. That is why the design team behind The Alef Residences together with DWP Design, selected Axor and its elegant, state-of-the-art products, says an official for Hansgrohe.

“Over the past 10 years, we have built awareness for both our brands – Axor and hansgrohe – by working on some of the most prestigious projects in the region,” says Markus Singler, managing director at Hansgrohe Middle East. “Working with The Alef Residences has been an especially rewarding experience for us, as this is a concept that is truly imaginative and impressive in the execution – even compared to its many luxurious neighbours on the Palm Jumeirah.”

He says the timeless elegance of Axor Citterio was selected for the mixers and showers of the residences.

“Familiar and yet new, classic and yet modern, these stunning fixtures are balanced in every detail. Created in collaboration with Italian designer Antonio Citterio, they emphasise precisely formed surfaces and sharp edges,” Singler says.

For a touch of drama, the Axor Starck V was selected that it pays a grand homage to the element of water and its power. Axor Starck V was created in collaboration with the famed designer Philippe Starck.

“A revolution in bathroom design, it displays a vortex of water surrounded by complete transparency – creating an exceptional item at the wash basin. Everything was seamlessly brought together by incorporating Axor Universal Accessories,” he adds.
