ASGC, one of the leading construction groups in the UAE, has begun work on the expansion of The Dubai Mall, which will see additional retail space added to the world’s most visited shopping and entertainment destination with over 80 million visitors annually.

Following the issuance of initial permits in August, ASGC kicked off the project work aimed at adding further retail space to the bustling Downtown Dubai, says the company.

Once completed, the mega mall will see the addition of a new retail area, forming part of Mohammed bin Rashid Boulevard expansion.

To ensure the highest levels of efficiency in the construction process, ASGC has applied state-of-the-art technology solutions to assist in the project’s ongoing work. This includes the use of sophisticated 3D-laser scanning to allocated utilities throughout the development. ASGC is also using building information modelling (BIM) for full coordination of the construction activities.

It has worked on several key projects in the UAE including City Walk, Etihad Museum, Vision Tower, JBR, The Onyx, Bay Square, Business Central Towers, Golden Mile, Nestle Factory and Waldorf Astoria.
