Sigmulto Nujoum ... Sigma’s latest decorative coating.

SIGMA Paints Saudi Arabia will be making its debut at The Big 5 Saudi in a bid to reach out to its clients, showcase its innovative products and tap the potential offered by the premier event.

“The Big 5 Saudi is a crucial exhibition that allows us to be closer to our target audience and showcase the wide range of products and services we have, while enabling our target audience to experience all that Sigma Paints has to offer. It also helps in creating partnerships,” says Antoine Lejuez, Sigma Paints’ marketing manager Middle East.

The Saudi-based company will be promoting its extensive architectural range of paints and coatings at the event where it intends to create greater awareness of the services and solutions its offers.

At The Big 5 Saudi, Sigma Paints aims to unveil a range of products targeted at the regional market. “We always have something new to offer in terms of products and services that will be revealed during the event,” says Lejuez.

Sigma Paints manufactures and sells architectural, protective, marine and packaging paints and coatings. Established in the First Industrial City of Dammam in 1980, the paints and coatings major has a number of offices in the Middle East with a total staff strength of 400, located in Jeddah and Riyadh, in addition to the Dammam facility, in Saudi Arabia; Qatar; Dubai and Abu Dhabi in the UAE; Bahrain; Yemen; Kuwait and Egypt.

Its production facilities are based in the First and Second industrial cities of Dammam as well as in Egypt.

Sigma Paints has witnessed continuous growth, and focuses primarily on quality rather than high-volume production. “We aim for innovative products and new ideas,” says Lejuez, adding that he believes Sigma has become a trendsetter in the region with its competitors “looking to emulate our innovative products and approaches and probably wishing they got there first”.

In line with its business ethos, the company unveiled two new decorative finishes last year – the Sigmulto Effino and Sigmulto Nujoum. It also launched new solutions such as Sigmacare for the health industry and Sigmatint as a complete colour solution during 2013, while introducing colour trends for the year.

Sigmulto Effino, which ushers in the splendour of Europe, was launched in line with Sigma’s strategy aimed at continuously boosting its high-end decorative product range.

The new addition is a high-quality, water-based decorative matte finish characterised by a special touch of Italian elegance, developed for interiors.

“Indeed, Sigmulto Effino’s collection of velvety colours spread over eight groups resonate the wonderful Italian atmosphere, enhancing the ambiance of a home with soft shades reminiscent of Rome’s splendid plazas, fountains and artistic treasures,” says Lejuez. “The captivating colour groups within the range vary between the elegant and dynamic orange, the stimulating and proud yellow, the serene and warm brown, the passionate and calm red, the scented and energetic green, the balanced and splendid purple, the exciting and inspiring blue, and the secret and luxurious grey.

“Each group of colours consists of two patterns that help the client choose a colour that best suits his personality and artistic preferences, in addition to being consistent with the Sigma ‘Lifestyle’ concept,” he elaborates.

Sigmulto Nujoum, described as “Stars of the Desert”, is Sigma’s latest decorative coating that aims to bring the unique desert environment with its flora and fauna into the home. The transparent glitter finish can be applied on the top of any colour within the Sigma Colours and Lifestyle palette. Clients can choose a soft colour for a more tranquil effect or a strong bright colour to enhance the glitter-effect of Sigmulto Nujoum.

Meanwhile, Sigmacare is an innovative solution for the region’s healthcare industry, which is not only environment-friendly but also addresses the risk of contamination in such sensitive areas. The range is also offered in colours that have a psychologically soothing effect on patients, visitors and staff.

It includes a range of specifically selected, high-performing, environment-friendly paints for the individual areas within healthcare facilities combined with a colour solution that promotes the well-being of patients, visitors and staff in the healthcare industry.

Among other developments, Sigma Paints has expanded its retail network by opening new shops in the region.

Commenting on prospects for the construction industry in the GCC, Lejuez is optimistic about the future given the ample potential offered for growth in the market, particularly Saudi Arabia, which is its largest market in the GCC.
