A $600-million luxury integrated tourism complex (ITC) being developed by Omran, the tourism development and investment arm of Oman, is set to welcome its first residents early next year, said a report.

Saraya Bandar Jissah, a mixed-use development coming up on a 2.2-sq-km area in Oman, will offer residential units, recreational facilities and two beachfront luxury hotels all situated on its breath-taking location in eastern Muscat, reported the Times of Oman.

The two hotels include a 206-key resort and 112-key boutique property.

The first phase of the project includes 224 properties in three separate residential zones, the five-star hotels, which will be run by the Jumeirah Group, and recreational facilities.

The project, which is nestled in a valley between the Al Hajar Mountains, is being developed by Omran in partnership with Saraya Oman, a subsidiary of Saraya Holdings.

Construction work at the resort is progressing well and the 206-room facility is expected to be ready in the beginning of 2017, said the report.

On the residential side, three zones separate the properties but equally offer stunning views of the area. Some 33 villas are located on the central island called Nameer Zone, which is surrounded by the canal and lagoon; the Zaha Zone includes 169 villas and apartments where residents get to enjoy park views; and the Wajd Zone residences, atop a cliff, gives the residents panoramic views of the ocean and ground below.
