BUOYED by its success at previous gulfBID events, Manar Al Omran Scaffoldings and Engineering aims to target new markets in a bid to achieve high growth when it returns to the show this year.

A regular exhibitor at the event since 2009, the Bahrain-based company buys and sells, and rents scaffolding, formwork, props and woods.

This year, it will be introducing new slabform shoring and formwork products to the Gulf market. The new slab form shoring systems include Manar early striking, M2 shoring system, Manar lock and cuplock shoring, Manar ring system, and Manar tableform system, while the new formwork line comprise the Manar climbing system and special formwork, according to Mohammed Fawzy, its branch manager.

Commenting on last year’s event, Fawzy says: “gulfBID is a unique and a growing exhibition. Overall, we were satisfied and the organisation of the exhibition was excellent. We met a large number of clients at this event and gained a good insight into the growing market.”

He adds that the company’s stand at the event last year was strategically located right behind the main entrance of the Gulf property expo hall. “This prime location meant all customers visited us while entering or exiting,” he says.

Visitors to the company’s stand came from Cyprus, China, Thailand, Singapore, Japan, Europe and the entire Middle East, which made the event seem more like an international rather than a Gulf exhibition, he comments.

Fawzy says the company was successful in negotiating some sales deals at the exhibition while other customers visited its office following the event. He hopes the company achieves the same response as it did last year and meets many customers to achieve its targets.

Established in July 2009, Manar Al Omran Scaffoldings and Engineering was its head office in Hoora. The company recently opened two new branches in the Middle East and intends to open an office in a European country, to boost its network which currently includes branches in Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, Egypt, India and China.

Encouraged by the year-on-year growth in business, the company also plans to open its second warehouse in Bahrain shortly.

Ambitions run high at Manar Al Omran which aims to establish itself as “one of the most prominent and successful companies that buy and sell, and rent out steel scaffolding and formwork and casting moulded mineral in the Middle East and with a reach to the global market”, according to Fawzy, who is looking at boosting the company’s visibility to generate new business.

Looking ahead, he says the company’s business strategy will focus on ensuring customer satisfaction through providing excellent services. “Manar Al Omran is committed to providing a high level of services and products according to international quality standards,” he says.

The firm has successfully supplied its products to numerous projects in Bahrain including its cuplock system to a 21-storey building in Juffair for Hassan Lari Group; formwork/cuplock system to Bait Abdul Malik Ceremonial Hall in Galali for Meshwar Construction; cuplock to a 10-storey four-star hotel in Seef for Skyline Trading and Construction; and Korean frames/steel board for a project in Hoora for Al Fadel Construction.
