Imdaad and Emarat officials shake hands on the agreement.

Imdaad, a leading Dubai-based integrated facilities management (FM) company, has recently secured key maintenance contracts with two key UAE organisations: Emirates Post Group (EPG) and petroleum products supplier Emarat.

Under a Dh6 million ($1.6 million) contract, Imdaad will deliver specialised integrated FM services for EPG’s branches throughout the UAE.

The one-year contract, with the option to extend by another two years, includes maintenance of buildings and facilities, encompassing civil works, electrical and HVAC (heating, ventilation and air-conditioning) and mechanical operations.

Imdaad Group CEO Jamal Abdulla Lootah says: “This partnership illustrates our proven capabilities to roll out quality-driven integrated FM solutions, designed to optimise the reliability of all building services, across Emirates Post’s branches throughout the UAE.”

The group manages its postal operational division and subsidiaries, which consist of Wall Street Exchange Centre and Electronic Documents Centre, offering a vast range of postal, logistic and specialized financial services.

“Preventative, including regular maintenance, improves the reliability, efficiency, lifespan and operating costs of HVAC and MEP (mechanical, electrical, and plumbing), saving companies considerable amounts of money. It also encourages a more responsible attitude towards energy management, reducing carbon emissions as well as potential water leaks, which ultimately lower utility bills,” he says.

According to him, Imdaad has a strategic approach to sustainability and the work undertaken will go a long way in helping EPG comply with the Dubai Plan 2021, to ensure Dubai is a smart and sustainable city.

“We pride ourselves on our continuous innovation and energy management solutions. With this in mind, we intend to connect our Network Operations Centre (imtedaad) in Jebel Ali to implement energy conservation measures in EPG’s Um Ramool building,” he adds.

The contract, which commenced mid-June, has involved the mobilisation of more than 70 staff from Imdaad.

Emarat

Imdaad has also signed a three-year-agreement with Emarat, one of the largest suppliers of petroleum products in the UAE, to deliver innovative, sustainable, and integrated general waste collection services. The scope of the contract includes Emarat’s 47 stations, atrium building, head office, central workshop, and staff accommodation.

According to Mahmood Rasheed, COO of Imdaad, the collaboration not only exemplifies Imdaad’s ability to provide more profitable and efficient facilities maintenance and care but also its capability to address the waste management needs of its clients according to the best international environmental practices and globally recognised standards.

He says: “We look forward to working with oil industry giant Emarat, whose commitment to its customers, society, and the environment we fully applaud and share. This collaboration is yet another opportunity to showcase our capability to deliver topnotch FM services according to the unique and challenging demands of this sector. As part of its smart FM services, Imdaad’s waste collection and management solutions meet the highest international standards in line with the company’s key business strategy of helping drive growth in the industry it serves to contribute to the UAE’s overall economic development.”

Nabeel Buti Bin Buti, senior manager maintenance and services, Emarat says: “Emarat is mainly driven by its desire to provide fast and responsive services according to the requirements of our customers. The strong foundation of our agreement with Imdaad lies in this significant common ground. As a leading provider of expert supply and distribution of petroleum, aviation fuel, natural gas, lubricants, and liquefied petroleum gas, we exclusively partner with companies with reliable and professional services that can help advance our business goals and objectives and Imdaad fits our requirement.”
