Kooheji Development, Bahrain’s leading real estate company, together with its key unit, Kooheji Contractors, has broken ground on a new luxury development named Onyx SkyView – the second project within its Onyx series.

The ceremony follows close on the heels of Kooheji commencing the handover of units at its Onyx Residences project, celebrating a significant step toward redefining luxury living in Bahrain Bay.

Situated in Bahrain Bay, Onyx SkyView boasts 435 luxury residential apartments distributed over 53 floors, in addition to 40 offices spread over 10 floors with four offices on each floor and seven commercial stores.

The spacious and ultra-luxury residences at Onyx SkyView are a carefully curated collection of studios, one-, two- and 3.5-bedroom apartments combining distinctive design, and inspired lifestyle inclusions in the best layouts and space planning within the Kooheji Development residential towers portfolio.

The ground-breaking ceremony was attended by the company’s board of directors and prominent stakeholders, signifying a new chapter in the distinguished trajectory of Kooheji Development and its construction affiliate, paving the way for another architectural masterpiece in Bahrain.

CEO Engineer Mohamed Abdulghaffar AlKooheji said the Onyx SkyView will be an iconic project in Bahrain’s skyline bringing a new paradigm for elegant high-rise luxury development in the kingdom and also the region of creating a modern and sustainable living experience.

“And with Kooheji Contractors at helm, we are certain that this project will be another success story of Kooheji’s legacy, thanks to their expertise and experience in the construction industry,” he stated.

With the start of the construction activities, Kooheji Development is now one step closer to making this unique and exciting development a reality in Bahrain. It has already completed 10 per cent of the construction work on the project.

Onyx SkyView will be nestled in spacious grounds complete with architectural terraces of green outdoor spaces and features dedicated residents-only amenities in a double-height indoor floor as well as outdoors over a 3,800-sq-m area.

“These resort-style indoor and outdoor amenities include active and passive entertainment activities zones, such as an indoor multipurpose hall, VIP lounge, café, cinema theatre, women’s and men’s gymnasiums, play areas as well as outdoor water features including levelled decks with iconic waterfall cascades between pools as well as fitness areas with lap infinity pool, dynamic splash pads, and a lazy river surrounded by fire pits spots for the cozy family barbecue gathering,” AlKooheji said.

Featuring a grand main entrance facing the Four Seasons hotel, Onyx SkyView spreads over a construction area of 108,000 sq m and comprises luxury residences, offices as well as an attractive retail unit along the two sides of the project. With these elements, Onyx SkyView will create a luxurious living experience that is both modern and elegant, he added.

Meanwhile, the handover of Onyx Residences follows the completion of the snagging phase, where apartment owners personally inspected their units with Kooheji’s Clients Relations Team and provided valuable feedback, ensuring the highest standards of luxury and comfort, the company said.
