Ecomondo 2025 will span 166,000 sq m and feature seven thematic areas.

The Rimini Expo Centre in Italy will host Ecomondo 2025 from November 4 to 7 bringing together companies, researchers and policymakers for one of Europe’s largest events on the circular, green and blue economies.

Organised by Italian Exhibition Group (IEG), the event will span 166,000 sq m and feature seven thematic areas dedicated to different aspects of the ecological transition. Beyond the extensive exhibition floor, the event's core is its high-level conference programme, featuring over 100 events designed to offer a platform for dialogue between business, institutions and academia.

The programme, curated by Ecomondo’s Scientific Technical Committee chaired by Professor Fabio Fava, will address sustainability topics ranging from soil regeneration to resource efficiency.

Highlights include the fourth edition of the ‘States General for Soil Health Circular bioeconomy and opportunities for soil regeneration’, organised with Re Soil Foundation and the National Bioeconomy Coordination Board, which will shed light on new European bioeconomy policies such as the “Soil Monitoring Law” and the EU’s “A Soil Deal for Europe” mission and provide an overview of projects that link soil health, agriculture and innovation in Europe and Africa.

Another session, “From sky to ground: Earth observation for sustainable critical raw materials management”, organised with the Polytechnic of Turin, CINECA and Spatial Agency, will focus on how satellite data is being applied to monitor environmental impacts and supply chains.

In the field of resource efficiency, a conference led by Società Chimica Italiana, ISWA International and ATIA-ISWA will examine technologies for recovering materials from end-of-life products in the Mediterranean region.

The Water Cycle and Blue Economy section will feature a two-part conference co-organised with the European Commission, UTILITALIA and other partners on projects that integrate nature-based and digital solutions for efficient water management. Innovative projects will be illustrated, promoting collaboration between institutions, research and industry for sustainable and resilient water management.

A bioeconomy-focused session, “What bioeconomy for the next generation?”, will explore education, innovation and entrepreneurship opportunities for young people in the Mediterranean and Africa.

The “Africa Green Growth Forum” will also return to Ecomondo to promote international cooperation and partnerships.

STATES GENERAL OF THE GREEN ECONOMY

On November 4 and 5, the States General of the Green Economy will provide the event’s main political forum. Organised with Italy’s Ministry of the Environment and Energy Security and the National Council of the Green Economy, it will bring together businesses and policymakers to debate decarbonisation, resource management and sustainable urban mobility.
