MUFLESYSTEM is looking to The Big 5 Saudi Arabia as its springboard to the kingdom’s market.  With an eye firmly set on Saudi Arabia’s buoyant sector, the Italian specialist in drainage systems will be on the lookout for distributors for its products in the region.

At the show, the company intends to promote its entire product range of water drainage systems including Flat, Easy, Skip, VIP, Smart, Slope, Wing, Plus and the brand new product, Funnel, which is a drainage system with a high hydraulic performance for large areas, says Frediana Capone, the marketing coordinator.

“A keen interest in developing business in this country and finding distributors for our drainage channels is what has brought us to this event,” he says. “We would also like to introduce to the Gulf market our drainage channels made of high-density polyethylene (HDPE).”

The company has plans to expand in the Gulf region and South America. It has been part of many prestigious projects the world over, such as sports and railway facilities in Greece; the Almaty airport runaway and other roads in Kazakhstan; Formula One racetrack and Water Park in Bahrain; Olchynt factory in Romania; Swiss Hotel Izmir and Adnan Menderes Airport in Turkey; and numerous projects in its home country Italy and other European states.

MufleSystem was established in 2001 in Porto Recanati, Italy. It employs 30 people and achieves an annual turnover of €12 million ($15.62 million). The company has distributors in Europe, Asia and Africa and covers the strategic market segments of building, infrastructure and civil works.

MufleSystem says business overall was slow in 2010, particularly since the Italian market was very cautious because of the financial crisis. However, the launch of new products and exports to both European and non-European countries helped it maintain the same turnover figures of the year before.

The company will be exhibiting at Stand E10 at the show.
