The Big 5

Opportunity knocks

THE UAE-based Safario Cooling Factory is keen to create awareness in Saudi Arabia about its diverse product range and considers that The Big 5 Saudi Arabia will provide a good opportunity to do so.

Already well established in the UAE, the company will promote its entire range of products which include condenser coils for all types of air-conditioners, including chillers, package units, and split and window air-conditioners. It also manufactures process cooling chillers, shell and tube heat exchangers, sheet metal fabrication and air-conditioners.

“Saudi Arabia is a growing market. There are a number of companies there that would need our products and services, but are not aware of our product range. We, therefore, want to showcase our products – particularly our condenser and chiller coils, heat exchangers, industrial and domestic process chillers and sheet metal fabrication expertise – at The Big 5 Saudi Arabia and establish contacts with new clients,” says RL Narayanan, marketing manager.

Safario has maintained a steady level of growth over the past two years. In order to meet the ever growing demand for higher quality products, the firm has invested heavily in the latest and advanced technology and machines for production and testing, such as CNC machines, programmable shearing and folding machines and automatic surface-mounted machines. It continues to upgrade technology and manufacturing facilities as part of its ongoing development programme.
“In addition, we have plans to expand within the next six to 12 months,” Narayanan adds.

Safario was established in 1984 and has a production facility in Al Qouz Industrial Area of Dubai, UAE. The company’s first production line was set up for in-house consumption in the maintenance of air-conditioning units, which proved to be the stepping stone for the establishment and success of Safario Cooling Factory. Today, it comprises three major divisions – Safario Cooling Factory, Safario AC Maintenance, and Safario Trading Company – employing 140 people, many of whom are engineers and technical personnel. The firm enjoys an annual turnover of between $18 and $20 million.

Besides supplying the local market, Safario caters to the original equipment manufacturers (OEM) market in the Gulf and European countries.

The company accords high priority to quality and towards this end it has a research and development (R&D) department that offers state-of-the-art product design and testing facilities. “Accurate product performance data is used for the benefit of the customers ensuring the highest level of integrity and quality,” says Narayanan. “Coil design is carried out using advanced software, to enable the company to provide a variety of products that meet client requirements.”

The company follows stringent quality control procedures for monitoring quality and controlling parameters, at various stages of manufacturing, to ensure a defect-free product and achieve a high level of customer satisfaction.

Safario will be exhibiting at Stand C43 at the show.
