Naji ... expansion focus.

SAUDI-BASED construction company Multiple Builders (MultiBuild) says it is poised to expand its ties with leading companies of the kingdom as part of its major diversification process.

The general contracting company, a registered foreign firm specialised in a wide scope of activities in the construction market, said it hopes to strengthen ties with Saudi Aramco, Saudi Electricity Company (SEC), Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (Sabic) and the Royal Commission of Jubail and Yanbu in line with its expansion plan.

The company, which was established in 2001 in Al Khobar, specialises in providing complete steel buildings on a turnkey basis (design and build), targeting the private sector including traders, factory owners and investors to construct plant, factories, warehouses, cold stores, showrooms and car-parks.

“Our involvement in each project covers design works, site preparation and earth works, exterior civil works, cast-in-situ and precast concrete works, supply and erection of steel buildings, finishing works, electrical works, mechanical and heating, ventilation and air-conditioning (HVAC) works, project management and operation maintenance,” said Allam Naji, managing partner.

“Currently, we are involved in the construction of more than 50,000 sq m of projects for central warehousing facilities, showrooms and offices in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia. The work is expected to be completed in a couple of months with other warehousing facilities projects expected to start during this month,” he said.

He said Multibuild has executed a number of projects mainly in the Eastern Province, as well as in the Southern and Western provinces over the past few years.

Commenting on prospects for the construction market, Naji said the next two years will be tremendously challenging in terms of securing materials, construction machinery and most importantly the required manpower and skills, given the boom in the market.
