Parsons has worked with LREDC since 2006 on project management, construction management and site supervision for infrastructure, utilities and landscape works across the Lusail City development.

Parsons Corporation has recently won a three-year contract to provide programme and construction management services for the Lusail City Infrastructure Program, extending its near two-decade partnership with developer Qatari Diar.

Appointed by Lusail Real Estate Development Company (LREDC), a dedicated subsidiary of Qatari Diar created to build, develop, and manage the master-planned Lusail City project, Parsons is delivering programme management, construction management and construction supervision (PMCMCS) services for the 38-sq-km master-planned city north of Doha, one of the largest urban developments in the Middle East.

The contract covers oversight of design and construction, interface management, project controls, quality assurance and coordination among multiple stakeholders across the programme to drive the successful delivery, according to Parsons. It continues the company's existing engagement in Lusail under a new contractual arrangement.

Lusail comprises 19 residential, mixed-use, commercial, entertainment and waterfront districts, including four islands, and growing hospitality and is positioned as a driver of investment and tourism under Qatar's National Vision 2030.

"Lusail is one of the most significant urban developments in the region, and we are proud to continue supporting its delivery," says Ahmed El Essnawi, Parsons' vice President and Qatar Country Manager.

He adds that the company has worked with LREDC since 2006 on project management, construction management and site supervision for infrastructure, utilities and landscape works across the development.

Parsons has previously supported delivery of the Lusail Marina District, The Seef Lusail Development, Lusail Plaza, the Lusail Commercial Boulevard and the Qetaifan Islands.
