Talay is the first residential community at Marsa Al Saadiyat.

Leading UAE developer Aldar last month (September) launched Talay, an exclusive collection of 351 standalone villas, marking the first residential community at Marsa Al Saadiyat, a AED100 billion ($27.2 billion) waterfront destination on Saadiyat Island in Abu Dhabi.

Unveiling the project, Aldar said this comes as part of the final phase of Saadiyat Island’s masterplan. The project’s contemporary architecture is complemented by bespoke louvre details created in collaboration with Emirati artist Abdalla Almulla.

His contribution will also extend into the public realm through a commissioned fountain within Talay, reflecting Marsa Al Saadiyat’s integration of art and culture across the destination.

Marsa Al Saadiyat’s masterplan spans 6.4 million sq m and 8 km of coastline. It includes three schools and is located alongside an Etihad Rail underground high-speed rail station, integrated within a transit-oriented development (TOD) hub, further enhancing sustainable mobility and connectivity to the wider UAE.

The Emirati developer also launched a new experiential luxury retail and fine dining destination – Saadiyat Grove – in Saadiyat Cultural District, which will set to open later this year.

Designed as a living gallery where luxury, art and fashion coexist, Saadiyat Grove is set to redefine how the world experiences retail and culture-led living, blending architecture, design, and storytelling in a setting unlike any other.

Framed by three iconic cultural establishments, the Louvre Abu Dhabi, Guggenheim Abu Dhabi, and the Zayed National Museum, with the Natural History Museum Abu Dhabi and teamLab Phenomena Abu Dhabi in close proximity, Saadiyat Grove stands as the connecting heart of Saadiyat Cultural District, a one-square-mile masterpiece where every space is inspired by art, culture, and connection.
