big 5 Global Preview

Mega construction event to focus on industry priorities

An anticipated 65,000 industry professionals are expected to attend this year’s Big 5 Global.

As construction and urban development face mounting pressures from rapid urbanisation, supply chain uncertainty, sustainability demands and skills shortages, businesses must adapt to remain competitive and resilient.  Across the Middle East, Africa and South Asia (MEASA) region, project teams are currently balancing four key priorities: supply chain resilience, technology advancement, sustainable transformation and a future-ready workforce.

Big 5 Global returns to Dubai for its 47th edition, bringing together industry leaders, policymakers and suppliers to address these challenges, exchange insights and explore practical solutions that support delivery, resilience and sustainable growth in the region.

Taking place at the Dubai World Trade Centre this month (November 23 to 26), the exhibition will gather more than 1,800 exhibitors, over 20 country pavilions and an anticipated 65,000 industry professionals to explore products and solutions spanning construction materials, equipment, building systems, digital technologies and the operation of the built environment, according to the organiser dmg events.

A closer look at the supply chain

The exhibitor line-up spans the many disciplines involved in construction and project delivery, from building materials, interiors and finishes to MEP systems, construction equipment, prefabrication, fire and safety solutions and industrial construction products.

Big 5 Global features seven co-located events: Heavy, Totally Concrete, Marble & Stone World, Urban Design & Landscape, HVACR World, GeoWorld and Future FM, each focusing on a specialist area of the wider built environment.

Alongside the exhibition, Big 5 Global will feature CPD-certified Leadership Summits and the wider Big 5 Talks programme.

The international exhibitor mix includes Liebherr, Bauer, Doosan, Sany, Honeywell, SKM and Midea, alongside Anchor Allied, Soudal and Astral. The 2026 edition will also feature first-time participants, including Doosan Engines, Einhell and Reynaers, representing construction equipment engines, power tools and aluminium systems.

Technology and sustainability in focus

Technology will also be in the spotlight at the exhibition. Digital Construction World will showcase technologies supporting the design, coordination and delivery of construction projects, with exhibitors including Premier Construction Software, Nemetschek Group, ePROMIS Solutions, In4Velocity International, First Bit Technologies and Structra Engineering Services presenting solutions across building information modelling (BIM), digital twins, artificial intelligence, robotics and data management, among other areas.

Alongside digital approaches to project delivery, the exhibition will feature Big 5 Global Impact Trail, which guides visitors to suppliers and products such as NaturaSeal Building & Construction Materials’ volatile organic compounds (VOC)-free waterproofing membranes and Deewan Equipment Trading’s concrete reclaimer system, designed to reduce waste and recover reusable materials.

Fuelled by continued investment in urbanisation, infrastructure, and major giga-projects across the GCC, the event acts as a vital gateway for stakeholders navigating these complex developments.

Four days of high-level industry discussion

Alongside the exhibition, the CPD-certified Leadership Summits will bring senior perspectives to three connected questions: how leaders enable investment and successful delivery, how cities create long-term value through planning and collaboration, and how technology can improve the way the built environment is planned, delivered and operated. These themes will be explored through the Big 5 Global Leaders’ Summit, LiveableCitiesX Summit and Big 5 FutureTech Summit.

The wider Big 5 Talks programme will add a technical dimension, with more than 90 CPD-certified sessions and over 450 speakers across four days. Topics range from engineering, project delivery and sustainability to smart buildings, architecture and facilities management. Building Codes and Regulations Talks will examine the regulatory frameworks affecting construction and development, while other sessions will cover AI, fire safety, geospatial technologies and building information modelling. Let’s Talk Fire and buildingSMART Talks will offer further focused perspectives into the built environment.

As activities scale across the industry, the pressure on developers, contractors, architects, engineers, project managers and suppliers has intensified, with challenges no longer isolated, but intertwined. Big 5 Global responds to these complexities as a strategic gateway to help improve both delivery and operational outcomes, says the organiser.
