The event, at Ritz-Carlton Bahrain Hotel and Spa, will discuss issues related to terrorism, smuggling, money laundering, drug trafficking and illegal immigration.
More than 500 people, including ministers, security experts, consultants, human rights activists, top executives from leading international companies, scholars and academics will participate in the three-day conference.
"Money laundering and terrorist financing is clearly a challenge we have increasingly had to come to terms with, particularly within the finance and investment sector," said KFH general manager Abdulhakeem Alkhayyat.
"As a supporter of a number of diverse philanthropic, economic, social, and other causes, KFH maintains its role and responsibility as a leading Islamic finance house, to ensure that operations remain strictly within, not only Islamic Sharia, but also morally Islamic principles."
Gulf Air has been named the official carrier for the forum, which is being held under the patronage of Prime Minister Shaikh Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa.
The Interior Ministry is hosting the event, in collaboration with the Monaco-based Crans Montana Forum, as part of efforts to benefit from international expertise in security. -TradeArabia News Service
