The Ministry of Public Works and Housing has signed a contract for the maintenance of the Ras Al Khaimah-Falaj Al Mualla-Al Dhaid road. The Dh118 million ($32.1 million) contract has a timeframe of 18 months.

Meanwhile, the Ministry has completed maintenance projects on the Al Fujairah-Al Dhaid road at a cost of Dh70 million and the Al Manamah-Ras Al Khaimah road at a cost of Dh80 million. Work has also been finished on several bridges in the Northern Emirates at a cost of Dh32 million and Al Hamidiya interchange in Ajman at a cost of Dh24 million.

Plans are also on to maintain several bridges in the Eastern Region, with a budget of Dh58 million. The Ministry will construct a two-way road linking the Othon Al Twayeen area with Debaa area at a cost of Dh130 million.
