Tenders are expected to be out soon for the construction of Sharjah World Trade Centre.

Construction of the Dh367 million ($100 million) building, which will be the tallest in the emirate, is due to begin in six months.
The Swiss firm STPC and the Sharjah government are putting the finishing touches on the designs. The 54-storey tower will be built on a manmade island in the Al Khan lake and will be connected to the new Sharjah Expo Centre by a bridge.
The proposed structure is to complement the emerging Sharjah Expo City, which will host commercial centres and showrooms.
