ABU Dhabi’s Tourism Development and Investment (TDIC) has awarded a Dh670-million ($182.4-million) contract to Dhabi Contracting for the construction of the first phase of the Saadiyat Beach apartments in Abu Dhabi.
All the 495 Phase One apartments of the development are due for completion by Q4 2011. The project involves the construction of six apartment buildings on the beach district of Saadiyat Island, close to St Regis Resort and the Saadiyat Beach Residences. The first phase of the apartments comprises six buildings: three standard with 285 apartments and three mid-range with 210 apartments.
There will be 14 Saadiyat Beach Apartment buildings – with a total of 963 apartments – spread over three neighbourhood plots, ranging in specifications between premium, mid-range and standard.
The Saadiyat Beach Apartments neighbourhoods will provide dynamic living spaces in private gated communities, from simple studios to multiple bedroom apartments. Each of the three neighbourhoods will have its own 25 m swimming pool, barbeque area and sports facilities including gym and tennis court.
Designed by world-leading US architects JZMK and AN Design, the apartments are inspired by Arabian and Mediterranean architecture and complemented by quality fittings. Soletanche Bachy has been appointed to carry out piling and excavation work as the early works contractor.
