ABU DHABI General Services (Musanada) has commenced Phase Three of the Abu Dhabi Future School (ADFS) programmes initiated by Abu Dhabi Educational Council (Adec) to promote the educational infrastructure by constructing new world-class schools at various locations in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and the Western Region.

“The (ADFS) programmes include multiple phases in which Musanada will be responsible for construction, completion and maintenance,” said Mugheer Khamis Al Khaili, Adec’s director general.

Phase Three of the ADFS programme involves the construction, completion and maintenance of four packages for 10 schools: five in Abu Dhabi and five in Al Ain, with a capacity of 1,250 students in each school. The completion date for this phase is June 29, 2013.

Work on Package Three of Phase Two in Al Ain started this year. It includes three kindergartens, each accommodating 360 students. Construction is expected to be completed on November 21 as scheduled.

Musanada is committed to ensuring that the safety, health and security requirements are fully incorporated in the project’s complete lifespan to achieve Estidama two pearl building rating certificates.

“Each of the kindergartens will include 18 classrooms, three indoor break-out areas, multi-purpose hall, a library, kitchens, a services block, and administration offices.

“The external works cover shaded kids play areas, shaded parking areas, landscape areas provided with an irrigation system, drainage and water supply networks, electrical and telephone systems,” said Al Khaili.

The ADFS programme is an ambitious educational initiative launched by Adec with the support of Musanada, which is responsible for implementing the project infrastructure.
