THE landmark Sheraton Dubai Creek Hotel is undergoing a full refurbishment of all guest rooms, the Vivaldi restaurant and other facilities that will take eight to 10 months to complete.

The extensive renovation of the Sheraton Dubai Creek Hotel, which has been closed to the public since July, will include a complete redesign of its public spaces and all 262 rooms and suites, embracing the modern interpretation of classic design for which the Sheraton brand is known.

Drawing inspiration from European classical design influences as well as Dubai’s modern tastes, the hotel’s new design will feature Arabic-influenced accents, depicting scenes of Dubai old and new, Arabic patterns and of the importance of the water, another key design element.

When the ‘Lady of the Creek’ as it is known reopens in 2014, the new rooms will offer an experience that will combine style and technology. Each room will provide classical furniture and feature enhanced technology with a 42-inch LCD television, DVD player, iPod docking station and wi-fi.

The hotel will also introduce the brand’s signature Link@SheratonSM experienced with Microsoft – a social, technology hub in the lobby where guests can stay connected.

Furthermore, the Italian restaurant Vivaldi restaurant and bar will be fully refurbished and the Hatta room overlooking the creek turned into a breakfast venue.
