Oman National Engineering & Investment Company (ONEIC) has announced that it has secured a RO32 million ( ) contract from Oman Electricity Transmission Company for the construction of a 132/33kV grid station within the mega Sultan Haitham City development in capital Muscat.
As per the deal, the scope of work also includes associated 132kV overhead transmission lines connecting Mabella Industrial Grid Station to Mabella Grid Station, said ONEIC in its filing to Muscat Stock Exchange.
The entire project work will be executed with in an 18-month period, it stated.
The company expects to gain diversified experience and generate substantial revenues from the contract over its implementation period.
This comes close on the heels of ONEIC's recent subcontract win from Petroleum Development Oman (PDO).
As per the deal, it will be building a 132 kV overhead line with a 33 kV substation for the Budour Tayseer gas project in the Marmul area. The entire project will be implemented within a 12-month period.-TradeArabia News Service
