Saudi group Mofarreh has announced that it has joined hands with Turkey's Gülsan Holding to set up a new joint venture to bid for and deliver major transportation infrastructure projects in Riyadh for the Royal Commission for Riyadh City (RCRC).

The partnership will target the construction of roads, bridges, viaducts, interchanges and related transport infrastructure as Saudi Arabia accelerates investment in the capital under its Vision 2030 economic diversification programme, said the Saudi group in its statement.

The joint venture forms part of Mofarreh Group's strategy to expand its international partnerships, enhance local capabilities and contribute to the Kingdom's infrastructure and sustainability objectives.

Under the agreement, the companies will combine Mofarreh Group's local market presence and operational capabilities with Gülsan Holding's experience in delivering large-scale transport infrastructure projects internationally.

The joint venture also aims to support knowledge transfer, localisation and the adoption of international engineering and construction practices in Saudi Arabia's infrastructure sector, it stated.

Mofarreh Group Chairman and Group Chief Executive Marzouq Al-Harbi said the partnership reflected the company's strategy of working with international firms to support the Kingdom's infrastructure development plans.

Gülsan Holding brings decades of experience in the construction of roads, bridges, viaducts, interchanges and other complex civil engineering projects, the companies said.

The duo said the partnership underscores their focus on engineering expertise, innovation and sustainable infrastructure development, while strengthening their ability to deliver large-scale transport projects that support Saudi Arabia's long-term economic and development goals.-TradeArabia News Service
