Three in race for Bahrain Northern Link Road project advisory role

Bahrain's Ministry of Works has announced that it has received bids from three top consultants - KPMG Advisory, EY Consulting and PricewaterhouseCoopers - transaction advisor for the development of the Bahrain Northern Link Road (BNLR) in response to an international tender.

The project, which is being implemented under a public-private partnership (PPP) model, involves a 29.5-km highway that runs from North Manama Causeway Bridge to King Hamad Causeway.

The BNLR will serve as a parallel east-west corridor to Sheikh Isa Bin Salman Highway and to support traffic flow between Khalifa Bin Salman Port and Saudi Arabia. It will connect to the planned King Hamad Causeway.

KPMG Advisory submitted the highest bid at BD3.89 million ($10.3 million), followed by EY Consulting at BD2.26 million  and PricewaterhouseCoopers Bahrain Limited (BD1.92 million), as per the Bahrain Tender documents.

The winning bidder will provide technical, financial and legal advice to the ministry, including conducting project studies, structuring the PPP and supporting the tender process through financial close.-TradeArabia News Service
