Olayan Kimberly-Clark, a leading manufacturer of personal care and tissue products, today (November 2) announced the expansion of its manufacturing operations in the Kingdom of Bahrain with an additional production line, reinforcing its commitment to the country and enhancing its ability to meet customer demand across domestic and regional markets.
The expansion has also created new local employment opportunities, contributing to workforce growth of more than 10% in 2026.
With a Bahrainisation rate of 73%, Olayan Kimberly-Clark continues to invest in national talent and support the development of Bahrain’s manufacturing workforce.
The announcement was made on the concluding day of the fourth edition of Gateway Gulf in Bahrain. Hosted by the Bahrain Economic Development Board (Bahrain EDB), it was held under the theme “Reimagining Global Partnerships, Powering Sustainable Growth”.
The Bahrain facility manufactures products under globally recognised Kimberly-Clark brands, with the expansion expecting to increase the facility’s production capacity, improve operational flexibility and strengthen supply chain resilience, supporting Bahrain’s industrial growth and economic diversification objectives.
Khaldoun Tahboub, Plant Manager of Olayan Kimberly-Clark Bahrain, said: "Growing our operations in Bahrain is a proud moment for our team. It reflects years of hard work, strong talent and our shared commitment to building a world-class manufacturing operation."
"What makes me most proud is seeing how far we have come, growing our capabilities, creating opportunities for people and playing a bigger role in serving our consumers across the region. We’ve built a strong foundation for continued growth, and we’re excited about what that enables us to achieve in the years ahead," he stated.
"Through continued investment in production capabilities and people, Olayan Kimberly-Clark is strengthening its Bahrain operations and strengthening the kingdom’s role as a manufacturing hub serving the wider region," he added.
