Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority (SEWA) has announced a package of incentives and facilities to support tourism establishments in the emirate.
The measures are part of its efforts to enhance the sustainability of the tourism sector, raise its competitiveness, and support the investment environment in the Emirate of Sharjah, SEWA said in its social media post.
Dr Hussain Askar, Director of the Customer Service Department at Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority (SEWA), explained that the initiatives include:
* Extending the bill payment period for an additional month
* Paying consumption bills in instalments
* Exemption from cut-off fines for three months
* Payment of insurance amounts for new accounts in four instalments
* Exemption from plans approval fees for tourist establishments for three months
* Extension of the delivery period of services for projects without additional fees
* Freezing service fees for non-operating meters in hotels and tourist establishments, and
* The hotel will be separated from the unused units
* The fees for issuing permits for electrical maintenance works will be paid in instalments
* The authority will bear the bank fees resulting from the payment of consumption bills through bank transfer for a period of three months.
