The architects of Manar Mall proposed a themed interior in each of the corridors, one being an Arabic theme and the other a Mediterranean theme.
When selecting Extra Co to carry out the interior decoration themes, the management of the Manar Mall first required samples of the proposed themes.
Extra Co undertook to provide samples and did so in just four days, creating the huge facades of 5.5 m by 3 m within the mall itself. The samples were erected on scaffolding in the designated locations alongside samples from other companies.
When Extra Co unveiled the samples, Manar Mall immediately confirmed the job would be given to Extra Co and contracts were immediately signed and the company mobilised for work within seven days.
Whilst executing the works, Extra Co had to incorporate into the structural design the loads of all of the services that would run behind the facades such as air-conditioning ducting and maintenance walkway etc and, at the same time, maintain the harmony of the themed facades.
Together with the management of Manar Mall, Extra Co embellished on the architect's design by introducing additional elements that would further enhance the interior design. Fort-like towers and a cannon were included in the Arabic corridor whilst a replica of the Sphinx was included in the Mediterranean corridor.
An array of spectacular colours, frosted glass, planter boxes and flowers were the finishing touches that have created a unique shopping centre interior in the Gulf.
