Alarabi Decoration Establishment, one of the leading firms in decoration and special finishing works in the Middle East, has successfully been involved in a number of projects on three continents around the globe.
"Alarabi has executed works in most of the royal palaces in the Kingdom and has decorated numerous hotels and private residences in the Gulf, Asia, Africa and Europe,'' says its Italian president, Pietro Nebbia.
Among the most recent projects implemented by the Saudi-based firm in the Middle East are the Hilton and the Westin Hotel on the Jeddah corniche in Saudi Arabia and the extension of the Meridien Hotel in Cairo, Egypt. Further afield, it has undertaken projects for a private hotel in Paris, France, and a royal palace in Marbella, Spain.
The company continues to build on this success both in the domestic and in the overseas market. It is currently involved on a total of 28 projects in Saudi Arabia and has been entrusted with the decorative work on some of major projects abroad especially in Italy and Kazakhstan.
In the Kingdom, it is engaged on royal palace projects in Riyadh and Jeddah, as well as works at the new Al Faisaliah Centre and the upcoming Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz City for Humanitarian Services, both in Riyadh.
''We are poised to start work on what is expected to be the largest hotel in Italy. The luxurious new Esedra Hotel in Rome will have some 600 rooms and is expected to be operational by early 2003. Alarabi has been called upon to provide a wide range of its decorative skills for the project, including gypsum work, special painting, mosaic work and tile work for the swimming pool,'' says Nebbia
''Alarabi will soon start a large prestigious project for the President of Kazakhstan. Alarabi had successfully performed works at the Presidential Palace and at the Parliament Hall five years ago in the new Kazakh capital of Astana," he continues.
Alarabi has its headquarters in Jeddah with offices in Riyadh, Cairo and Milan (Italy). It specialises in decorative gypsum, special painting applications and artistic marble and glass mosaics. For special woodworks and furniture, Alarabi operates in partnership with GMC of Italy.
''Alarabi employs over 1,000 artisans and decoration specialists under an efficient European management," concludes Nebbia.
