SIGMA Paints has launched a website that is designed to serve the interests of both its customers and professionals alike.
Located at www.sigmapaints.com and sporting a stylish design, the website supports effortless navigation through a wealth of information on the various activities and products of the manufacturer, which offers decorative, marine and protective paints to meet the diverse requirements of the market.
Some of the features targeted at professionals are a dedicated location for architects, providing access to material safety and technical data sheets, an clear overview of the range of Sigma products, including its ‘green’ products, and a paint calculator.
To assist the customer in making the right colour choices, the website features a digital overview of the company’s decorative finishes. The decorative coatings section features an innovative Colour Viewer, which gives a good idea of the colour choices available from Sigma Paints, while a drop-down menu on ‘Your Space’ on the page provides support and guidelines specifically targeted at architects/consultants, paint contractors and distributors.
“The range of decorative paints from Sigma Paints is specially developed to suit both the local environment and local tastes, and has been creating lasting impressions in the Middle East for nearly 30 years,” says Steven Rijkaard, brand manager for Dammam-based Sigma Middle East.
“The product range is wide enough to cover almost all uses – from wood to aluminium; and from steel to concrete. With such a vast range of colours, almost any shade can be made in minutes with Sigma’s computerised colour dispensers.”
The protective coatings section enables users to download brochures and information sheets of the diverse range of products offered by Sigma Coatings, a PPG brand.
“Sigma is now universally recognised as a world leader in the development of new protective coating technology. For example, its innovative solvent-free epoxy coatings are much safer to use, and more friendly to the environment. These new two-pack epoxy coatings can be applied in a single coat, making them more economical in use and cutting the costs of maintenance,” Rijkaard points out.
The marine coatings section provides information on the company’s technical service, product documentation and technical sheets. “In our continuous effort to best meet our customers’ needs, we are in the process of making tools available that ease the marine coating selection and specification process,” he adds.
Sigma Paints claims to be the world's second largest coatings manufacturer following PPG’s acquisition of SigmaKalon in 2008. Prior to this acquisition SigmaKalon, was a global leader in the coatings industry in its own right, the second largest in Europe.
Sigma has branches located throughout the region in Dammam, Jeddah, and Riyadh (Saudi Arabia), Dubai (UAE), Muscat (Oman), Doha (Qatar), Cairo (Egypt), Sana'a (Yemen), Amman (Jordan), Beirut (Lebanon), Kuwait, Manama (Bahrain), Damascus (Syria) and Maldives.
