Jordan's Blue Energy for Advanced Technology Company (Beat) and Bahrain's TCGME Company have launched an information technology jont venture.

The Oryx Technologies will be headquartered in Bahrain.

Cooperation between the two companies began two years ago before the launching of the new company, said a statement.

The establishment of Oryx Technologies that is equally owned by the two companies was announced during a ceremony attended by Jordanian ambassador to Bahrain, Husayn Al-Majali.

Al-Majali said: “The strong relations between Jordan and Bahrain should not be restricted to the governments, it should involve the people too.  He added that this joint venture is the beginning of further joint ventures in this field."

The joint venture will boost the economic informatics in Bahrain and merge the Jordanian and Bahraini skills to create an exclusive software development industry in Bahrain, the statement said.

The company will employ some 100 people from both the countries. It will benefit from the skills available in both Bahrain and Jordan.

Mohab Murrar, founder and CEO of Beat Company will assume the post of vice chairman of the board of directors of Oryx Technologies. - TradeArabia News Service
