The northern emirate of Umm Al Quwain has announced that a total of 241 residential land plots have been approved for distribution to eligible citizens as part of government initiatives aimed at ensuring a decent standard of living and strengthening family stability.
This comes following the directives of HH Sheikh Saud bin Rashid Al Mu'alla, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Umm Al Quwain, in a move that reflects his commitment to meeting the needs of UAQ’s citizens and enhancing their quality of life, reported Wam.
A similar gesture was made last year when the government had approved the allocation of 240 residential land plots for eligible Emirati citizens.
Competent entities have confirmed that the distribution of plots will follow established procedures, ensuring transparency and fairness throughout the process, said the report.
Last year, Sheikh Saud had issued a number of laws concerning the Real Estate Foundation of Umm Al Quwain and the regulation of the real estate sector in the emirate.
The new law is aimed at helping regulating real estate development activities in the emirate, the pricing of all projects, and providing real estate escrow accounts, in line with regulations that ensure protecting the rights of investors, real estate companies and property developers, stated the Wam report.
These laws are aimed at helping in the development and implementation of plans to drive growth across the real estate sector and keep pace with the emirate's urban development drive, it added.
