Spotlight on landscaping solutions

The Big 5 Outdoor Design and Build Show, a specialised trade show for landscaping, infrastructure and urban development with a special focus on the design, build and construction of all private and public spaces, will make its debut this month (May 23 to 25) in Dubai, UAE.

Being held at the Dubai World Trade Centre, the event will bring dynamic ideas for the industry professionals through the exhibition, Leaders in Landscape Summit, and Continuing Professional Development (CPD)-certified workshops, said James Meltz, the show’s exhibition director.

Saudi real estate sector in focus

The long-term opportunities of the Saudi real estate sector – as well as the steps investors are taking to protect themselves in the current period of turbulence – will be reviewed at the  Euromoney Saudi Arabia Conference to be held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, this month (May 3 and 4).

The sector, which is a major area of interest, will be discussed by a panel of industry experts in a special session at the 2016 event, said the event organisers.

Richard Banks, the consulting editor of Euromoney Conferences, said: “The real estate discussion is one of the most popular sessions every year at Euromoney Saudi Arabia, and 2016 will be particularly interesting due to the major changes experienced over the past 12 months.”

Trigeneration focus for Saudi summit

Trigeneration power generation and cooling will form the agenda for an upcoming summit in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Organised by India-based Nispana, the second annual Kingdom District Cooling & Trigeneration Summit will take place on May 4 and 5.

Trigeneration installations have a proven track record for efficiency and power saving across Asia, Europe and America with some countries fulfilling from 30 per cent to over 50 per cent of their national power generation needs with CHP (combined heat and power).

Meanwhile, the show’s organising committee along with the International Technical Tropical Timber Association (ATIBT) said they will host the first Middle East ATIBT Conference in Dubai next year.
